Killarney National Park ~ Ireland
On one of my trips to Ireland we rented a house in a small town called Glenbeigh and the Killarney National Park was not too far from there. It's a great park to drive through or for hiking. There are some really great spots to stop the car and get out to explore a bit.
Torc Falls are stunning and are just a short walk from the parking lot. The walk itself is beautiful too - everywhere you look is just covered in greenery. Also, you really can't go wrong with a waterfall. Definitely worth a stop and a quick hike.
The Ladies View is a famous lookout point within the Killarney National Park. The name comes from Queen Victoria's ladies in waiting who were particularly fond of this viewpoint. Famous or not, this viewpoint is absolutely gorgeous. I get chills just thinking about it. It's the kind of view that makes you think "Holy crap - I'm actually here". Maybe I'm the only one who gets that thought when they see something truly incredible in person - but I've got a feeling I'm not the only one. Anyway, while you're in the Killarney National Park, a stop at the Ladies View is a must - the Ladies were not wrong.
