I'm Just a Nerd Trying to See The World One Adventure at a Time...

Stornoway, Scotland

Stornoway, Scotland

After our wonderful Scottish breakfast at Ardvreck House in Ullapool, we caught the morning ferry headed to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.  Stornoway is the largest town in the Hebrides The ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway is about 2.5 hours and thankfully we had smooth seas for our trip.  It was a very calm and peaceful ride to the adorable town of Stornoway.

Cameron's Chip Shop

Our first stop once we arrived in Stornoway was lunch.  We knew that there was a takeaway fish & chip shop in town that has been voted the best in the UK, so that was a definite must!  It's called Cameron's Chip Shop.  Cameron's is the perfect spot for a quick, delicious, and reasonably priced meal.  There are only a few tables inside, so plan on taking yours to go.

We have had fish & chips at several different places all over the UK - from London, to Edinburgh, and everywhere in between. The fish at Cameron's was definitely one of our top favorites.  It was so flavorful and the perfect fish to batter ratio.  Is it the best fish & chips you'll ever have, probably not.  But for the speed and the price, you can't beat it.

After lunch, we were heading to the Callanish Standing Stones!

Adventure Always.
