Deep Sea Fishing ~ Coco Plum Island Resort ~ Belize
If you enjoy fishing, then you should definitely add a deep sea fishing trip to your stay at Coco Plum! We went out to the reef with two guides and a thermos full of beer and it was glorious. We caught several barracuda and really had a great time out on the water with the friendly and helpful guides. They really went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and had a good time. Couple of tips though - take a dramamine and wear lots of sunscreen! Out on the water with no shade, my pale Irish skin fried like bacon. But that didn't stop me from having fun and catching fish! The best part about doing a deep sea fishing trip is that after you catch some fish, they will cook it for you for dinner. We came back with 5 barracuda and they asked us how we wanted them cooked - we had heard that blackened barracuda was delicious so that's what we went for and it did not disappoint. That night at dinner they brought out a MASSIVE tray of blackened barracuda - there was no way we were going to eat all of it so we shared it with everyone else and people really enjoyed it. That blackened barracuda might have been the best fish I've ever had - it was really that good.
