Jun 21 Dunguaire Castle ~ County Galway, Ireland

We came across Dunguaire Castle after our drive through The Burren. We had some extra time so we thought, why not? We stopped to check it out. The castle itself was really cool to see and it didn't take long at all to tour. The best part was that we were the only people visiting it. It was a rainy day and this isn't one of the most famous castles in Ireland so we were able to get the place to ourselves, which is so rare. Even if you can't make it to this castle in particular, there are so many castles all over Ireland. If you pass one while you're driving, take a few minutes to stop and check it out. You might just find some hidden gems of your own.
